RRC NFR Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 15 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years (as of the closing date)
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PwBD: 10 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Up to an additional 10 years, based on service rendered

Educational Qualifications

  • For General ITI Trades: Candidates must have completed Matriculation (10th) with at least 50% aggregate marks and hold an NCVT/SCVT-approved ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
  • For Laboratory Technician (Pathology/Radiology): Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

RRC NFR Application Process

To apply online, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to nfr.indianrailways.gov.in and navigate to “Railway Recruitment Cell.”
  2. Online Registration: Register by providing basic details and generating a registration number.
  3. Form Completion: Log in, complete the application form, and upload the required documents (as per the list below).
  4. Fee Payment: Submit a non-refundable fee of ₹100 via the provided payment gateway (exemptions apply for SC, ST, PwBD, EBC, and female candidates).
  5. Submit and Print: After successful submission, download and print the application form for future reference.

  • Tie-Breaking Criteria: If multiple candidates have the same score, the older candidate is ranked higher. In case of a further tie, candidates who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be prioritized.
  • Document Verification: Candidates are shortlisted to 1.5 times the vacancies for document verification.
