In response to numerous requests from applicants, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced an edit option for online application forms submitted for the post of Constables in the J&K Police (Home Department). The posts were advertised through Notification No. 01 of 2024 dated 16.07.2024, under Item Nos. 01 to 06.
The online application process for these posts was open from 08.08.2024 to 07.09.2024. In light of these requests, the JKSSB has officially opened a seven-day “Edit Option” window to allow candidates to make necessary changes.

This window provides an opportunity for all candidates who have applied for the post of Constable to revise specific permitted fields in their applications.
However, it is important to note that certain fields will remain non-editable. These include:
- Name of the Candidate
- Date of Birth

All other permissible fields can be modified during this edit period. Candidates are advised to carefully review their applications and make any necessary corrections within this timeframe.
Why This Edit Option Matters
For many candidates, this edit option is a crucial opportunity to rectify minor errors that may have occurred while submitting their forms. Given the competitive nature of the recruitment process, ensuring that the application is error-free is essential for maintaining eligibility and avoiding disqualification.
Next Steps for Candidates
Applicants are encouraged to log in to their JKSSB accounts during the edit window and double-check their submissions. While the platform allows changes to specific fields, candidates should be mindful of the non-editable sections to avoid confusion.
This edit feature ensures transparency and fairness in the recruitment process, enabling candidates to correct any inaccuracies without compromising their applications.
