JKBOPEE has hereby invited online applications from the residents of Jammu and Kashmir for B Pharmacy, D Pharmacy & Lateral Entry B Pharmacy Courses. JKBOPEE B Pharmacy Admission 2024 refers to the process through which eligible candidates can apply for admission to B-Pharmacy and D-Pharmacy courses in Government/Private Colleges/Institutions of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Regulated by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002, this admission process sets the stage for prospective pharmacy students to embark on their academic journey.

The Common Entrance Examination shall be conducted offline at Jammu / Srinagar centres simultaneously as may be decided by the Board.

How to Apply for JKBOPEE B Pharmacy Admission 2024?

To apply for JKBOPEE B Pharmacy Admission 2024, eligible candidates need to follow a structured online application process. Here are the key steps involved:

  1. Online Application Submission: The online application forms will be available from April 7, 2024. Candidates must ensure that they fill out the forms accurately and submit them before the deadline, which is April 21, 2024 (Midnight).
  2. The interested candidates are required to upload the following scanned original / self attested certificates in PDF format with size from 100-200 KB along with the Application Form: –
    • Domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (For Candidates of UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile Certificate),
    • Qualifying marks (12th Class) certificate; (where result is declared),
    • Date of Birth Certificate (only Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board of School Education); and Valid Reserved category certificate, if any.
  3. However, it is for the information of all the concerned that afore-titled documents as required for submission of application form shall be considered provisional and subject to change(s), if any, as may be notified by the Government subsequently.
  4. Payment of Application Fee: A fee of Rs. 1000/- is to be paid online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

Eligibility Criteria for B-Pharmacy Course

Before applying for the B-Pharmacy course through JKBOPEE, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Domicile: Candidates must be domiciled in UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh.
  2. Age Requirement: They should be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2024.
  3. Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually.
  4. Other Qualifications: Candidates with qualifications approved by the Pharmacy Council of India are also eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for D-Pharmacy Course

1. Domicile Requirement:

  • Candidates must be domiciled in the Union Territory of J&K/UT of Ladakh. For candidates from Ladakh, a ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh serves as the domicile certificate.

2. Age Limit:

  • There will be now no upper age for the candidates applying for the D. Pharma courses.

3. Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.
  • The qualifying examination should include Science subjects viz Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), along with English.
  • A minimum of 40% marks in aggregate is required in the qualifying examination.

4. Medical Fitness:

  • Candidates must be medically fit to pursue the D-Pharmacy course.

5. Provision for Candidates Appearing in 10+2 Examination in 2024:

  • Candidates appearing or who have appeared in the 10+2 (12th Class) examination in 2024 are also eligible to apply.
  • However, such candidates must ensure they qualify the 12th Class examination on or before the date of declaration of the result of the Common Entrance Test or before the date of counseling, as notified by the Board. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidature.

Eligibility Criteria for B-Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) Course

  • Candidates must be domiciled in the Union Territory of J&K/UT of Ladakh. For candidates from Ladakh, a ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh serves as the domicile certificate.

2. Educational Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have successfully completed the D-Pharmacy Course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

3. Provision for Candidates Appearing in D-Pharmacy Course:

  • Candidates who are currently pursuing or have completed the D-Pharmacy Course are eligible to apply for lateral entry into the B-Pharmacy Course.

Documents Required at the time of Admission

Original Documents required to be submitted in the Institution at the time of Admission: –

  • Marks certificate of the qualifying examinations (12th class marks certificate);
  • Date of birth (Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate) from a recognized Board of School Education;
  • Domicile Certificate for candidates belonging to UT of J&K and ST certificate as a Domicile for candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh;
  • Category Certificate, if any;
  • Any other document as may be required by the Institution.
