Jammu, June 11, 2024 — The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a one-day Special Casual Leave for Kashmiri Pandit employees working in the Jammu Division. This leave is sanctioned for June 14, 2024 (Friday), to allow these employees to celebrate Mela Khir Bhawani.

According to Government Order No. 1210-JK(GAD) of 2024, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on June 10, 2024, this decision is made by the order of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. The order highlights the government’s recognition of the cultural and religious significance of Mela Khir Bhawani for the Kashmiri Pandit community.
