IUST Admission Notification 2024

The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) in Awantipora, Kashmir, has released Admission Notification No. 03 of 2024, inviting online applications from eligible candidates for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the academic session 2024. The available programs are as follows:

Integrated Program:

  • MBA (5-Year Integrated)

IUST Eligibility Criteria

Postgraduate Programs:

  • MBA and MBA-IB: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university or institution.

Undergraduate Programs:

  • B. Tech. Food Technology: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects from JKBOSE or any other recognized board.
  • B. Sc. Mathematical Sciences (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  • B. Sc. Computer Science (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • B.A. English (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • BS Design Your Degree (DYoD) (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • B. Sc. Physics (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 55% marks with Physics and Mathematics as subjects.
  • B. Sc. Chemistry (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 55% marks with Chemistry as one of the subjects.
  • B.A. Journalism & Mass Communication (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • B. Sc. Economics (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • B.A. Islamic Studies (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • B.A. Arabic Language & Literature (FYUGP): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks.

Integrated Program:

  • MBA (5-Year Integrated): Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks.

Note: There is a 5% relaxation in the minimum percentage of marks required for eligibility in case of reserved categories for all programs.

Important Dates

  • Availability of Online Application Forms: 08-06-2024 (Saturday)
  • Last Date for Submission of Online Application Forms / Deposition of Application Fee: 20-06-2024 (Thursday)

How to Submit Online Application Forms?

Follow these steps to fill out the online application form:

  1. Visit the University Website: Go to www.iust.ac.in and click on the ‘Admissions 2024’ link. Register as a new user or log in.
  2. Enter Details: Fill in the details as per your Matriculation Certificate. Verify your phone number and email ID with the verification code sent to your registered phone number. Note your login ID for future reference.
  3. Read Instructions: Before filling out the form, read the instructions carefully and keep the required documents ready for online uploading (where applicable).
  4. Choose the Appropriate Option: Click on the “Apply Online” tab and select the appropriate option based on your eligibility.
  5. Complete the Application Form: Fill in the personal details, academic details, competitive exam details, select the program(s) for admission, upload the required documents, and preview the form before submission.
  6. Make Online Payment: Pay the application fee online. The fee is Rs. 500/- (non-refundable). If applying for more than one program, pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- per program.
  7. Download the Submitted Form: Download and keep a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

IUST Selection Procedure

The selection process varies by program:

MBA and MBA-IB:

  • The selection will be based on the scores in CMAT 2024, MAT 2024, or CUET-PG (COQP12) 2024.

Undergraduate Programs:

  • B. Tech. Food Technology: Based on CUET UG 2024 scores in Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics.
  • B. Sc. Mathematical Sciences (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 scores in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics.
  • B. Sc. Computer Science (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 scores in Computer Science/Informatics Practices.
  • B.A. English (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 English scores.
  • BS Design Your Degree-DYoD (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 General Test scores.
  • B. Sc. Physics (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 scores in Physics or General Test.
  • B. Sc. Chemistry (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 scores in Chemistry or General Test.
  • B.A. Journalism & Mass Communication (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 scores in Mass Media/Mass Communication or General Test.
  • B. Sc. Economics (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 scores in Economics/Business Economics or General Test.
  • B.A. Islamic Studies (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 scores.
  • B.A. Arabic Language & Literature (FYUGP): Based on CUET UG 2024 Arabic scores.

Integrated Program:

  • MBA (5-Year Integrated): Based on CUET UG 2024 scores.

Candidates who have not appeared in CMAT/MAT/CUET PG/CUET UG 2024 can also apply online for admission at IUST. However, first preference will be given to candidates with these scores. The selection for the remaining seats will be based on the University Entrance Test or the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, which will be decided later.

Important Notes:

  • Admission Guidelines / Prospectus 2024 can be viewed/downloaded from the university website: www.iust.ac.in.
  • Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected without notice.
  • Immoral or irrelevant content uploaded on the online application form will result in strict action by the university.
  • Check the application form status using your login ID and password.
  • Incomplete applications or those missing required documents/application fees will be rejected.
  • Changes to preferences will not be entertained after the last date for the correction window.
  • Candidates should stay updated with the university website for downloading admit cards and other updates.
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS)/Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme is available for eligible meritorious candidates.
  • Notifications for admission under Self-Financing category/NRI sponsored quota will be issued separately.
  • Candidates awaiting their qualifying examination results can apply provisionally and must update their application form with the results once declared.
