In a shocking revelation, a case of paper leak for the NEET UG 2024 exam has surfaced in Patna, unraveling a sophisticated network of fraud. The exam, held nationwide on Sunday, May 5, has been marred by this scandal, as authorities crack down on those involved.
Collaborative efforts between the Jharkhand Special Task Force (STF), Export Oriented Unit (EOU), and Patna Police have led to the arrest of five individuals implicated in the case. Currently under interrogation, these arrests shed light on a nefarious operation preying on aspiring medical students.
It’s reported that the modus operandi of the gang involves targeting first-year medical college students, enticed by lavish lifestyles and expensive possessions. These individuals are groomed as solvers, adept at cracking exams through illicit means.

The initial breakthrough came when the Jharkhand STF received intelligence regarding the paper leak, prompting swift action culminating in the arrest of solvers at an examination center. This led to further arrests, with information shared between law enforcement agencies across jurisdictions.
Raids are underway in various parts of the country, including Bihar, with a focus on regions like Patna, Muzaffarpur, Buxar, Bhojpur, and Nalanda. In Patna alone, raids are being conducted in areas such as Kankarbagh, Patrakar Nagar, Ramakrishna Nagar, Ashok Rajpath, and Mahendra.
The gravity of the situation was underscored by an incident at the DAV center in Shastri Nagar, Patna, where a solver was apprehended mid-exam. Acting on intelligence from Ranchi Police, a joint team swiftly moved in, arresting the solver who was taking the exam on behalf of a student from Chapra, Bihar. Additionally, an electronic device linked to the crime was seized from the premises.
Further investigation, spurred by leads from the arrested solver, has resulted in the apprehension of four more individuals involved in the paper leak scandal. As authorities delve deeper into this labyrinthine scheme, the integrity of the NEET UG 2024 exam hangs in the balance, prompting calls for stringent measures to safeguard the sanctity of the examination process.
